About
I’m a student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, pursuing a dual degree in Information Science and Economics. I transferred in from College of DuPage, where I completed an Associate of Arts and a C++ Proficiency Certification.
At 15 I took my first job as a tutor at a Kumon Math and Reading Learning Center. Within three months I was responsible for a dozen tutors and the day to day operations of the center, including communication with the parents of nearly 100 students, inventory tracking, and assisting the owner with monthly reporting.
At Truly Engaging, a print manufacturer, I started in general assembly, assisting machine operators. That included shipping through the FedEx, UPS and USPS systems, troubleshooting problems on the machines, and finding ways to improve production. I was then trained to run several machines, including CNC and die cutters. On the strength of that experience, the CFO and COO brought me onto a project to provide insight into the company’s production problems.
Alongside my management and manufacturing experience, I’ve been investing since I was 13. As well as managing portfolios, I write up my own theses, publish analysis on Seeking Alpha, and have built my own research tooling, including a quantitative pipeline for testing strategies against historical data. I have experience with stocks, ETFs, crypto, options, and covered strategies.
Seeking
I’m currently seeking internships as a Data Analyst, Operations Analyst, or Data Scientist.

TRULY ENGAGING
Finding the real capacity of a die-cutting machine
Management wanted to know the daily capacity of two industrial die cutters. A year of machine sensor data showed that only 14% of available time was spent cutting, and that the constraint was changeover frequency rather than machine speed.
PERSONAL PROJECT
Testing whether earnings volatility can be traded
I built a research pipeline to test whether filtering earnings trades by company quality improves returns. The best run gains 79%, and almost all of that comes from a single year and a handful of outlier trades. Here is how I know, and why I reported that instead of the headline number.
